A highly skilled Solution Architect is critical to ensure that the enterprise makes well informed IT decisions balancing both the business objectives and the best technical approach. Business Knowledge – it is not enough to be a technical guru. The Solution Architect understands why. They have a passion for knowing your business and basing key decision around that knowledge. Business line enablement, total cost of ownership, future proofing and reliability are but a few of the many variables that must be measured against the business drivers.

Tech-Agnostic – decisions are made based on what is the best fit given the situation; not the favorite technology of the architect. The solution architect has enough experience not to just go with what they know; they will research and ensure the non-biased and well informed decision is made.

Leadership – SwiftRadius realizes that an effective architect must possess natural leadership ability. They are able to lead the IT charge and provide guidance and governance through the entire development lifecycle. Part of this skill set is in the ability to confidently articulate critical decisions to all stakeholders. Architectural Zoom – a common trait of the Solution Architect is the ability to “zoom” to the appropriate technical level. When providing advisement to a key business stakeholder, the architect will ensure that key details are explained and understood. Moments later, the Solution Architect may find himself providing a deep-dive perspective on SOA to the development team. The Architect can naturally adjust the zoom based on the audience.
